Despatch & Delivery Information

*Next Working Day is defined as the day following receipt of any order before our cut-off time (which is illustrated by the countdown timer). If you place an order with us on Monday - Thursday inclusive then your item will be delivered the following day providing you have opted for a one day shipping method subject to any location exclusions mentioned below. If you place an order with us on Friday before our cut-off time, then you should expect to receive your item on Monday with the exception of some services we offer providing you have opted for a one day shipping method subject to any location exclusion mentioned below and Bank Holidays or Public Holidays. Once you are in the Checkout flow after having clicked Add to Basket, you will see an accurate delivery aim depending on your location and selection of shipping method.  All delivery aims are subject to our couriers' own Terms and Conditions and exclusions they may apply during certain times of the year or due to staff shortages in general.  99.5% of items we sell are delivered by the delivery aim date.

**Safe Place Instructions - If you opt to add safe place instructions at Checkout where this is enabled by us, you agree to absolve us of any and all liability pertaining to the disappearance or damage of or to your item, howsoever caused, once the delivery company has marked the item as delivered. For the avoidance of doubt, the best option is not to give instructions for any delivery company to leave any item in an unattended and unsecure location.

WE AIM NEVER TO PROFIT FROM SHIPPING!

We strive to ensure that all costs are kept to an absolute minimum.
To this end, we quote accurate item weights on all of our product listings for items below 2kg.  Naturally, we have to protect your product for delivery and we further strive to ensure that it arrives with you in the condition it left us.  We do not take into account the weight of packaging when displaying shipping costs to you.  We, therefore, may take a small financial hit if the products you order exceed a particular weight banding and we are happy to do this.  You will not be asked to make up any shortfall in the price we pay to our delivery partners.

Cut-off times for dispatch may vary on the basis of the service level selected.  Most, but not all, of our delivery options allow for a 2pm cut-off. The information presented to you as you proceed with a purchase indicates the expected delivery date, tells you whether there is any shipping charge and advises you of the estimated, or guaranteed delivery date (where selected).

Orders after the cut-off time are despatched the next working day following receipt of cleared payment (excluding Sat, Sun and Bank Holidays). International orders are despatched the next working day from receipt of payment.

Please note: We do not despatch orders on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays. Please check our contact us page for any festive holiday closures. In these cases, we work hard to despatch all pending orders on the next working day.

If you provide us with a valid email address and a valid mobile number, you will be notified of despatch and will also receive Email/SMS notifications to keep you updated on your parcel's progress.  If you download the Royal Mail app, this will enable you to make certain changes where that option is offered by Royal Mail.  This applies to Tracked 24 and 48 but not Special Delivery services.

Options are available to you via email, and SMS notifications, so when ordering please remember to add your mobile number so you can be in full control of your delivery.

We also send a despatch email which includes a hyperlink for you to check on your parcel's progress if you so wish.  By using the Hyperlink you will be redirected to the Royal Mail Group plc Website.

DESPATCH AND DELIVERY - UK DELIVERY

We have great delivery prices from Royal Mail and ParcelForce who deliver most of our products all around the UK, although we may also use Evri when necessary for returns or for orders below £20 where we deem this to be appropriate solely at our discretion. As our delivery costs are regularly reviewed to keep prices as low as we can, prices shown in the Shopping Basket, Order Summary and Checkout are accurate but subject to change. Please be assured we keep the delivery and packaging costs as low as possible, while assuring your order is delivered safely and efficiently. Please note: Heavier or items too long or expensive to be sent by Royal Mail will default to ParcelForce.

Depending on your location, depends on the delivery aim you can expect to receive from our carriers as these are subject to change at any time for a number of reasons.  In general, these are listed as follows:-

UK REMOTE
Remote areas are usually subject to longer delivery times.  Royal Mail will not consider an item as undelivered until 10 working days after posting under any circumstances.

Royal Mail do not give any delivery aim and will not provide a target time for items going to the following partial postcodes:-

BT, GY, HS, IM, JE, KW, PA60-75, PA78, PH30, PH41-PH44 and ZE2-ZE3

Tracked 24

You are the customer and, with respect, we expect you to take responsibility for deciding how important it is that your item arrives with you by a set date. We do not know when little Julian's birthday is nor whether his life is going to destroyed because his present didn't arrive on time because you were not organised in dealing with it.  We appreciate more than anyone that people have extremely busy lives.  However, the choice of postage still lies with you if you are not happy with a delivery aim.
 

GUARANTEED SERVICES


To this end, we offer a selection of Guaranteed Delivery Services operated by Royal Mail and these are based solely on the weight of the item with differing thresholds for compensation should the item not arrive or arrive damaged.

We are sorry but we can no longer offer competitive rates on parcels over 120 cm and 300 cm girth going to Northern Ireland, Highlands and other remote UK locations.

Please note: Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 are value based offerings and where your order goes over the weight or size constraints imposed by Royal Mail, we may at our sole discretion upgrade you to a suitable service to enable your order to be fulfilled.

On any Tracked 24 or 48 service, your order can be left in a secure weather-proof location (e.g. shed, outhouse or garage) on your instructions but this is done entirely at your own own risk. We cannot, and will not,  advise the delivery companies to leave an item on the doorstep or elsewhere unless you have expressly instructed us to do so.  Royal Mail at their discretion through their local knowledge may leave the parcel with  a neighbour. 

However, in a minority of cases, if the delivery companies are unable to follow the instructions they will leave a 'Sorry you were out' delivery card. These cases could include:

If it would be dangerous for them to access the nominated point.
If the nominated point is clearly insecure, such as an easily viewed doorstep.
If the item would be exposed to bad weather.

IMPORTANT!
If a delivery arrives damaged or crushed, please do not sign for it or sign for it only as damaged container. You MUST notify us with 24-48 hours so we can resolve the issue.

DESPATCH AND DELIVERY - INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

When we sell to customers worldwide we have a delivery contract with DHL Worldwide and other freight companies who give us a competitive price. Short or folding items can be sent by Airmail which gives you a considerable saving. International services costs vary by country and the service options and charges will be shown at checkout. Unfortunately, any item over 60 cm is too long to be sent by small packet Airmail so they have to be sent via a courier.

European Courier Service is by DHL.
Airmail is by Royal Mail, and goes if possible in your area, International Signed For Small Packet Post.
International deliveries are by DHL Worldwide
DHL services are charged first volumetrically and then by weight, while Royal Mail Airmail services are charged by weight.

Please note: For international deliveries we are not responsible for any further duties or charges to be paid to the receiving country's Custom Officials. These have to be paid to DHL by the recipient and not by a third party buyer.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

The times stated throughout this page are those presented to us by the delivery companies involved, but sometimes delays occur that are beyond our control. We cannot be held responsible for delivery delays occurring once goods leave our warehouse (e.g. due to inclement weather or vehicle/equipment breakdown). Our company will not accept any liability for late delivery of the goods and delivery time specified should be viewed as a guideline only unless you have opted for a guaranteed service and even then our liability will be capped at the actual cost of postage paid by you.

DELIVERY TIMES SUMMARY

Economy postage options which go out by Royal Mail Tracked 48 generally takes 2 to 5 working days from despatch throughout the UK.  We have estimated the most remote areas to take 7 working days as Royal Mail give no delivery aim in the most remote areas.

Special Delivery will take 1 working day (Monday to Friday) from despatch for UK Mainland under normal operating conditions, 2 to 3 working days from despatch for the Scottish Highlands and Islands, UK Islands, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Deliveries are Monday to Friday Only.
Special Delivery by 1pm will only apply to orders received before 1pm Monday to Thursday, If we receive your order on Friday your order will be delivered on Monday by 1pm, Tuesday if it's a bank holiday, as Next Working Day Delivery does not deliver on Weekends or Bank Holidays.
Saturday Delivery, whatever day you place your order delivery will be made on the following Saturday. Last orders must be placed by Friday 12 noon, orders received after then will be delivered on the next following Saturday.
DHL Europe Deliveries can take from 2 to 8 working days depending on the area. 1-2 Days to France and Germany, 3-4 days to Spain but further reaching destinations like Greece will take 7-8 workings days.
DHL vary from anything from 1 to 15 working days depending on your location.
Airmail will take 5 to 25 working days - Tracking information is dependent on destination.

Please note: For international deliveries we are not responsible for any further duties or charges to be paid to the receiving country's Custom Officials. These have to be paid by the recipient unless you have paid the duties and taxes to us by selecting a DDP delivery option.
