The easiest, fastest and most secure way to pay for your order is by PayPal.  We will not charge you any surcharge to cover the fees they charge to us.

PayPal uses SSL 128 bit encryption to secure your financial details .

Traffic between your browser and our website is secure.  Our payment gateway uses SSL 128 bit encryption to secure your financial details through a 3rd party merchant banking system.

You will receive a confirmation email that your order has been received - it is then up to you to pay for it using one of the following methods:

If you live in the United Kingdom:
- Personal cheque (please make cheques payable to Grumpy Greyhound Limited)
- Postal order (crossed or uncrossed) 
- Cash sent by Registered Post

If you live in Europe:
- Sterling bank draft drawn on a UK bank
- Cash sent by Registered Post (Euros only) 

If you live in the Rest of the World:
- Sterling bank draft drawn on a UK bank
- Cash sent by Registered Post (US Dollars only) 

Item dispatch

Items cannot be dispatched until payment is received in full.  You should ensure that your details are up-to-date before purchasing from us.

When a cleared payment is received before 10am. this generally means we are able to dispatch the same working day unless the displayed dispatch time contradicts this. 

PayPal

We accept PayPal payments.  Please ensure that your correct details are in PayPal.  We will not dispatch any item to any address other than that confirmed by PayPal.  If you are purchasing an item which you require delivering to a different address, please ensure that you add or select the correct address prior to checking out via PayPal.

Should you fail to follow these instructions, your payment will be refunded and the item will be immediately add back into our inventory.  You will need to re-purchase the item and supply the correct address.  We will not accept any liability if you fail to provide the correct address in the first instance, and we subsequently refund and place the item back into our inventory and that item is then purchased by another customer in the time it takes you to resolve your delivery address details and make repayment.

From time to time, we find that customers have not updated their linked card details in PayPal.  In these instances, PayPal issue an eCheque to us which takes up to 12 working days to clear.  We will not accept any liability for late delivery if your card details are not up-to-date.  We will endeavour to contact you using the details you have provided to notify you of any such issues and give you the opportunity to remedy.

Debit/Credit Card

We do not currently take payments over the phone but you can still pay using your card.

Please contact us via email and advise us that you wish to use this method and we will send an electronic invoice to you.  Also, please ensure you provide us with your telephone contact details in the event of an issue arising.  Failure to observe these simple steps will mean we are unable to fully communicate with you and quickly resolve any issue so that we may meet your expectations.

We use Braintree and/or PayPal as our merchant card terminal.

Cheque

We accept crossed cheques payable to Grumpy Greyhound Limited.  Please allow 5 working days from date of postage before contacting us.

Please await instructions sent after purchase before sending payment.  Do not send cheques to our legal registered business address.  

Postal Orders

We accept crossed and uncrossed postal orders.

Crossed postal orders should be made payable to Grumpy Greyhound Limited.  Please allow 5 working days from date of postage before contacting us as they have to be banked into our business account.

Uncrossed postal orders are less secure but allow items to be dispatched upon receipt as they do not need to be banked.  You are responsible for any loss in transit or insurance to cover the value of same.

Please await instructions sent after purchase before sending payment.  Do not send postal orders to our legal registered business address.

Bank Transfer

After purchase, please contact us for our business account details.

The time taken to process bank transfers varies depending on several factors, all of which are outside of our control.

If you send payment using FPS (Faster Payments Service), payments are usually received within 2 hours. 

BACS payments tend to take up to 3 working days.

International bank transfers can take substantially longer.

In any instance, you agree to cover all transaction fees associated with processing any bank transfer from your side unless prior consideration and agreement is reached in writing by both parties.

Cash

On very rare occasions, do we accept cash on collection due to efficiencies of our working day.

However, please be aware that this is not our preferred method of doing business. 

Under no circumstances, will we allow collection of items if cleared payment has not been received with the exception of PayPal.  We will not accept PayPal for any collection orders under any circumstances for the protection of both parties.

VAT, CURRENCIES & EXCHANGE RATES

As we are based in the UK, we operate in UK £ Sterling.

We display other currencies as a guide only - not only do exchange rates fluctuate, your card company will perform the conversion at their own set rate at the time of purchase. If you'd like to check a currency we don't offer, www.xe.com/ucc has an excellent converter.
